You just entered the website of ARMAND, singer/songwriter, musician, arranger, producer and author.
But above all: THE CONSCIENCE OF EUROPE!
Armand sings in the following languages; Dutch, English, German, French, Italian, Russian, Norwegian, Berber (Tamazigt), Turkish and Arabic, to name just a few.
Armand started making music at the age of 10, playing
the accordion. It was not long before he discovered Rock 'n Roll,
he bought a second hand guitar and tought himself some chords, mainly
to impress the chicks, for whom he wrote numerous lovesongs, one
still sweeter than the other. The bands in which he played however,
didn't appreciate his own work that much, that they would include
it in their repertoire and Armand sang his songs in his bedroom or
im Gruenen fuer die Fraulein.

On stage he confined himself to Cliff Richard, Buddy Holly, Eddy Cochran and the like.
Until 1965, already numerous songcontests behind him, he inscribed for the Cabaret of the Unknown,
a music-contest in his native town, where he performed a self written English Song.
Holland was not ready yet for the folk-like lyrics, and one of the Jury-members advised him to write a song like that in Dutch.
Only a week later Armand appeared with what was then baptised a protest song, and according to the media, the Dutch Bob Dylan was born.
